[index] Wed Nov 8 00:07:54 CET 2006 security and cracking systems -- Found an excellent site called http://www.secure-software-engineering.com, which has some very interesting articles introducing fuzzing and threat modelling. Also of interest is their own little linux operating system called Damn Vulnerable Linux (DVL), which is an operating system specially designed to be full of security holes. Looking at the screenshots it looks just like another regular linux distro, but what really got me interested is that there are lots of lessons in there for self-study. The lessons are divided into three categories: BinExploitMe Lessons, WebExploitMe Lessons, and CrackMe Lessons. Sounds fun. Just the thing I need now when I have so much time on my hands (not!). --
